Parts of a Drip Irrigation System 

A drip irrigation system conserves water by delivering it slowly and precisely to the root zone through a network of parts that work as one. Water moves from the source through a backflow preventer and pressure regulator, then passes a filter to keep emitters from clogging. Mainline tubing carries flow to smaller distribution lines, where emitters, dripline, or micro-sprayers meter out consistent, low-volume irrigation right where plants need it. Valves, timers/controllers, and sensors automate when zones run, while fittings, end caps/flush valves, and stakes keep the system sealed, serviceable, and positioned accurately—minimizing runoff, overspray, and evaporation.
